Skip Bayless slams Draymond Green over forgotten OKC Thunder criticism: "The all-time dirtiest player in the history of the league"

Skip Bayless responds to Draymond Green's past critique of the Oklahoma City Thunder, stating that their success this season disproves Green's claims. Bayless emphasizes that Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a strong MVP contender and highlights the team's defensive achievements. He suggests a potential playoff showdown with the Warriors could make Green rethink his earlier comments.

Skip Bayless isn’t letting Draymond Green forget his past criticism of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Months after Green dismissed the Thunder as a team that "doesn’t strike fear" in opponents, Bayless fired back, insisting Green will have to eat his words.

Skip Bayless revisits Draymond Green’s criticism of the OKC Thunder

Back in October, Draymond Green questioned the Thunder’s seriousness, particularly their postgame rituals. He took issue with their group interviews, suggesting they lacked the intensity needed to intimidate opponents.
“Seven guys in the interview,” Green said. “There’s a certain seriousness it takes to win in this league. And there’s a certain fear you have to instill in the team in order to win. I just don’t know if they’re instilling that fear in teams with all the bromance and stuff after the game.”
Bayless, however, sees things differently. On The Skip Bayless Show, he argued that the Thunder’s success this season proves Green wrong.

Bayless didn’t hold back, claiming the Thunder are having one of the greatest seasons in NBA history. He challenged Green’s take that no one fears Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, despite the Thunder star being an MVP contender.
“I don’t know, nobody’s afraid of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander? That’s what Draymond says,” Bayless said. “I don’t know why not. Maybe because he doesn’t talk trash, he doesn’t cheap-shot anybody the way Draymond does — the all-time dirtiest player in the history of the league.”
He also highlighted the Thunder’s defensive dominance, pointing out they lead the league in steals, deflections, and limiting opponent scoring off turnovers.

A potential playoff showdown could settle the debate

Skip Bayless didn’t stop there. He hinted at a possible Warriors-Thunder playoff matchup, suggesting Green might regret his words if they meet.

“Maybe if that happens, Draymond’s teammates will be telling him in private, ‘Why did you have to say that about the Thunder?’” Bayless said. “Maybe, if we do see Thunder versus Warriors, deep, deep down, Draymond Green will be scared to death.”
For now, Bayless is holding onto the receipts, ready to remind Green of his comments if the Thunder continue their impressive run.
