Conor McGregor has been at the forefront of MMA and world politics headlines because of his constant back-and-forth with the Irish Government. This has intensified recently since he visited the White House and made statements about the political situation in Ireland. The statements generated replies from the Taoiseach, and eventually, the country was divided into two halves, one half defending The Notorious and the other half criticizing the statements being made by the fighter. On March 26, McGregor reposted a tweet that mentions a healthcare worker se*ually assaulting a 15-year-old minor while issuing a trigger warning about the Government
ethnically cleansing Ireland, generating
intense reactions from different sections of society.
Conor McGregor steps up to comment on the heinous crimes being committed by migrants
On March 26, news broke out across the media outlets in Ireland about a healthcare worker who got to walk free despite being accused of se*ually assaulting two women, one of whom was a mere 15-year-old girl, in the emergency department. This has sparked a debate all across the social media platform, primarily X, and has brought to light other instances of se*-related crimes. A common link between all these instances was that the offenders were not native and instead were migrants. Claims were made about the government assuring the public previously that migration and crime had no link to each other.
The healthcare worker is originally Indian, named Eldhose Yohannan, while the other se*ual offenders who came into light across other reported crimes were from Somalia, Saudi Arab and Brazil. Yohannan was let to walk free after he paid €10,500 each to both victims.
Conor McGregor reposted the entire thread with a caption of his own that sounded like a wake-up call for the Irish population. He wrote:
“A day in the courts of Ireland, 2025. We are only at the start of this. Ireland is purposely being ETHNICALLY CLEANSED BY ITS GOVERNMENT.”
This was in light of the fact that the offender was released and allowed to stay in Ireland despite the heinous crime committed. Even though Yohannan was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment initially, it was suspended later on the condition that he does not commit any crime in the next seven years and stays under probation supervision for 18 months and undergoes treatment for se*ual offending.
Users react to the statement of The Notorious
The chilling warning issued by Conor has garnered significantly intense and agitated reactions from the social media community. One of the users stated:
“You are missing critical words in your statement, that is 'ethnically cleansed of its Irish population by its government'.”
“This is tragic. Ireland needs to vote to get @TheNotoriousMMA in there to start the transparency process. Something is deeply wrong. This is not the Ireland of old. Make Ireland Great Again”
“At this point it’s on purpose. The government loves this”
