Samsung is all set to launch its latest Galaxy S-series smartphone. The South Korean smartphone maker has confirmed that it will launch the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone on May 13. To recall, Samsung teased the Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone earlier this year at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung claims that the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge “embodies the ultimate camera experience — and takes it one step further with mobile AI that empowers users to reach new creative realms in every aspect of mobile photography, from capturing to editing and sharing”.
The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will house a 200MP rear camera.

Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will launch on May 13at 9 a.m. KST (5.30 AM IST). “Join us online on May 13 at 9 a.m. KST as we introduce the next evolution of Galaxy. Discover how Galaxy engineers built on years of innovation and visionary thinking shaped by you to reimagine everything you expect from a smartphone,” said the company.
The launch event will one livestreamed on the company’s website and official YouTube channel.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Expected specifications
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature a 6.65-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection5. The device is said to sport an ultra-slim design, measuring just 5.84mm in thickness, making it one of the thinnest premium smartphones Samsung has ever launched. Despite its slim profile, the phone is rumoured to weigh around 162 gram.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM. The device is said to run on Samsung's One UI 7, based on Android 15. The phone is expected to house a 3,900mAh battery, which supports 25W wired charging.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature a dual-camera setup, comprising a 200MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. This camera configuration promises high-quality imaging and enhanced versatility, making it a compelling option for photography enthusiasts.
