Acting is an extension of a character’s soul, and theatre is the one space that sets you free without confines. Over the last four years, I have developed an unspoken understanding with Hansal Mehta, which strengthens our professional bond. Festivals like Cinevesture provide an essential platform to exchange ideas and celebrate cinema. It is important to work with and nurture new actors, carving paths for them just as others have done for me."Director Hansal Mehta says, “
I love working with people who are truly passionate about filmmaking, dedicated storytellers, disciplined actors, and a crew that runs like clockwork. Every character brings something new, and the lines in a script are just an extension of that, shaped through practice. The more you prepare, the better you get. But the tough part is that fresh talent often struggles to break through because of the way the system is set up. As filmmakers, we need to shake things up and open more doors for new, creative voices. That’s why platforms like the Cinevesture Film Festival are so important, they give emerging talent a space to be seen, heard, and celebrated.”Biopics continue to dominate Indian cinema, and The Challenges of Making a Biopic session brought together leading industry personalities such as Nandini Ramnath, Abhishek Chaubey, Honey Trehan, Chirag Bajaj, and D.P. Singh, who shared their perspectives on the intricacies of bringing real-life stories to the big screen.
