Bruce Buffer believes Logan Paul could hold his own in the UFC octagon

Logan Paul’s potential transition to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has been publicly supported by Bruce Buffer, the iconic “Veteran Voice of the Octagon,” who said that the influencer and professional wrestler “could compete in the UFC” with proper training. The UFC has now given Logan Paul this endorsement after hw reportedly failed to secure a spot on the UFC 300 fight card and got no response from UFC CEO Dana White after his collegiate wrestling background and experience in other combat sports.
Bruce Buffer emphasised the significant difference between boxing and mixed martial arts, noting that MMA utilises "40 plus weapons versus two weapons in the Marquess of Queensberry Rules of the amazing sport of boxing." Despite this complexity, Bruce Buffer believes Logan Paul's existing experience in boxing and professional wrestling provides a foundation that could be built upon with dedicated MMA training.
Specifically, the veteran UFC announcer highlighted Logan Paul’s wrestling background as a big advantage, with the influencer able to make a legitimate competitive debut in the octagon if properly prepared. Wrestling was Logan Paul's sport during both high school and college, and he built skills that are often considered fundamental to MMA success.

"He's got a pedigree in wrestling. Not just the WCW, he has a pedigree in collegiate wrestling if I'm not mistaken. He's quite the athlete. One thing about Logan is he's a supreme athlete," Bruce Buffer told TMZ Sports, highlighting Logan Paul's diverse athletic capabilities that could potentially translate to success in mixed martial arts.
When discussing what Logan Paul should do if he's serious about competing in the UFC, Bruce Buffer was direct with his recommendation: "Logan, if you're going to train with somebody, train with the best. And I'm sure Logan can definitely afford to train with the best."
