In an exclusive interaction with Times of India TV, Rajeev Sen spoke about his ex-wife Charu Asopa, her decision to move to Bikaner and her claims of financial struggle. Calling her “an impulsive human being,” Rajeev questioned her motives and addressed his deteriorating bond with daughter Ziana. He said, “There is absolutely no financial struggle…” while also opening up about their fallout, her alleged victim-playing, and the involvement of his close friend during their Dubai trip.
Rajeev Sen dismissed Charu’s financial woes, stating, “When she can afford to buy a house in Bikaner, how come financial struggle?” He emphasized the contradiction, saying, “When people don’t have money, they can’t even pay their monthly expenses and here we r talking about buying a property.” According to him, Charu’s narrative is crafted to garner public sympathy and, in his words, “This is just to put me down.”
Rajeev accused Charu of rash behavior, stating, “Charu is a very impulsive human being, that’s why she makes impulsive decisions.” He added, “She doesn’t understand what’s good for her, she only understands playing victim card all the time and taking to the media to gain sympathy.” Reiterating that her claims lack basis, he said firmly, “There is absolutely no financial struggles for her, none whatsoever. This is just to put me down.”
Opening up about daughter Ziana, Rajeev shared, “My bond with Ziana has already been effected.” He expressed concern over her constant social media exposure, saying, “Little one is put in front of the camera all the time, which will eventually effect her.” Distressed over restricted access, he revealed, “I have been denied meeting my daughter a number of times now,” and added, “Only option is to fight this out in court.”
Reacting to Charu’s claim that he calls everything she does “drama,” Rajeev responded, “Drama word is in her mind, not mine.” Defending his past support for her career, he shared, “Infact I helped her to create a website for her clothing line but she never made it public.” He hinted that despite his encouragement, she misconstrues intentions and uses public platforms to paint him in a negative light.
Rajeev revealed a turning point in their relationship, recalling, “We all were enjoying our holidays in Dubai and enjoying as a happy family.” But on January 1st, “I saw Charu talking to my best friend of 20 yrs behind my back.” He added, “She even started following him on Instagram… she just kept numb when confronted.” Rajeev stated, “She has many male friends of hers yet she crossed her line by being secretly friends with my best friend, from then on things took a ugly turn between Charu and me. I will not tolerate this.”
Addressing Charu’s shift to Bikaner, Rajeev questioned her intentions. The actress said she moved for a “better future” for daughter Ziana, but Rajeev raised doubts. Despite Charu’s public reasoning, he brought attention to her financial claims and reiterated, “There is absolutely no financial struggles.” While Charu told Times of India TV the move was about stability, Rajeev believes it’s part of a pattern of impulsive decisions and a strategy to gain public sympathy.
